One Way Ticket...

Isn't it human nature to do something and expect something in return?
You go to work, do the same thing day in and day out, no matter how mundane or monotonous the job is, you still do it. At the end of the day, or week, or month, you expect to be rewarded. And if your reward does not amount to the effort you put in, you get annoyed.
Then it turns to frustration, frustration builds up to anger, and anger results in remorse. You quit the job, and hunt for greener pastures. Or at least something that values your worth.
That applies to love too...
If you love someone, the other person should love you back, and you'll love that person even more for doing so. Thus the love propagates, proliferate. Instead of disintegrating into million pieces.
If you think you have sacrificed your energy and soul to that someone, is it too much to expect the other party to do the same? If the other person expects you to understand his or her woes and difficulties, is it unfair to ask for the same consideration and empathy?
I know life is not fair sometimes, but even a dog that barks at the tree will eventually stop and trot away.
Love is about give and take. You love, and be loved in return.
Like a 2 way track. Like a return flight.
I am taking a flight of no return...
Happy Valentine's Day everyone...
